Relationships. It is a word we all use and most people want what it is. But what kind of ship is it? One that passes us silently by in the night? One that meets us and explodes? One that was pirated or scuttled? Or one that we have missed altogether? It's the same thing with dating.
Sometimes that someone special does pass by silently and you don't notice. Why is that? Sometimes there is an instant dramatic connection, but does it last? Often we are so busy looking for the perfect relationship that we do not see who is there and we do not stop to look. We have passed the other person who is so busy looking for perfection that they do not stop to look either.
In the real world, building a true and lasting dating relationship takes effort. One must be prepared to give the other person a chance, and to allow the ship to sail slowly so you can learn, respond, give and really get to know someone. This provides a better chance for the dating relationship to blossom into something more permanent.
There is always the possibility that you might experience that love at first sight! But that is the exception rather than the rule. When you meet someone on your first date and are not sure you like them, you need to give the other person some time to relax and to become comfortable with you, and then the relationship can set sail.
You must remember that whether the person is male or female, everyone needs reassurance. Everyone worries if they are liked or if they said or did the right thing.
